Day 19, September 16: Actress Tiffany Shepis arrived on the set today. I have to admit that I was excited to see her again after 5 years. She really is an incredible person. I loved her from the first day we met. She has a lot of talent and from the first take she did an excellent job. Photographer Clive Parker was also on the set. He's an extremely nice guy, and I enjoyed his presence. He took some great production stills and some nice making of shots with his DV camera…

Today's shots were really complex. We had to shoot scene number 1, a really important scene. There were also some complex mechanical effects (rain and the thunder) and a complex dolly shot with the camera positioned in a really high position. The shots went great. We finished late but we were really proud of the work we did…

We also shot scenes with the nuns of the monastery. A great actress, Alessandra Guerzoni, played the Mother Superior and that did a great job…

Day 18, September 15th: Today was a day-off for most of the crew and for all of the actors. Not for the production designers or me though. We had the task of changing the set because we had to transform Ninfa's house into the Monastery of the New Order...

Production designer Valerio Zuccon did a wonderful job. The set this year is amazing!

Day 17, September 14th: Today was an easy day of work. We shot some establishing shots with Allan (Geremia). An annoying rain complicated the positioning of the lights, but in any case it was a simple day with simple shots. It was also the last day of work for actor Allan McKenna. I was sad to see him leave the set, but the film needs to move on, so I concentrate on the schedule for the days that follow...

Days 14, 15 and 16, September 11th, 12th and 13th: Today we shot the first scene involving the character Gino (played by Federico D'Anneo). As with the role of Doctor Bellini (Allan McKenna), Federico has the "fisique du role" and he looks perfect in Gino's costumes. He performs some difficult scenes with Allan McKenna and both work perfectly. I'm really happy with the work we did…

We also shot some nice special make-up effects with Gino and Geremia, and the FX crew did an excellent job. The only thing going against us is time. They need a lot of time to do the prosthetics make-up and we didn't finish until really late the next morning…

Days 12 and 13, September 9th and 10th: On days 12 and 13 we shot several scenes with actor Allan McKenna. He is a very talented actor and I like to work with him a lot. He doesn't have a lot of patience though and looses his calm when there are special effects involved. He quickly returns to form though, and comes through with some great acting…

On day 13, Francesco Primavera arrived for the role of Doctor Bellini. He's perfect for the role, and looks the part once he's in costume. He is a nice person and good actor…

Day 11, September 8th: A day-off for the cast and crew while my girlfriend and I got some shots of my daughter Miriam who portrays the role of young Ninfa. Miriam (who is 2 years old) was really nice and the shots look beautiful. It was difficult to tell to her what she had to do, but with some joking around we obtained the shots we needed...

Day 10, September 7: Tonight we worked on some special effects shots with actor Allan McKenna. The FX crew, Danilo and Elena (CreaFX), did an excellent job. I worked extensively with the lighting to obtain a nice "charoscuro" atmosphere and everything worked well. I'm really satisfied with the work we did today...

Week 1, August 29th - September 4th: The first week of shooting on NyMpha has come and gone and we are right on schedule. The film is very complex and I'm tired due to lack of sleep. Friday the 1st of September we shot some of the special make-up effects and we finished at 8am (we started the day before at 6pm). The FX crew is great and their work is incredible. I'm very impressed with the quality of the acting in this film. All the actors are doing a great job. Carolina De Cristofaro left the set on the 3rd of September and she felt sad as she left for Holland, just like Michael Segal. I'm proud of
this fact, because it means that they enjoyed working on my film…

September 4th has arrived and Alessandra Guerzoni (Lavinia) had a scene with Allan Mckenna. They worked well together and I feel that there is very good chemistry between the people involved in this project…

Day 1, August 28th: Today we had a meeting on the set with actors Allan McKenna, Caroline De Cristofaro and Michael Segal. We spent a lot of time discussing their characters and it ended up being a very intense day. My first impression about the people involved with the project is very positive...
